The 2027 Nissan Frontier lineup is expanding with a bold new option for drivers who want rugged capability, athletic styling, and off-road confidence without stepping all the way up to the PRO-4X. Nissan has officially announced the new Frontier Sport Edition package for the popular SV grade.

Designed for customers with active, outdoor lifestyles, the new Sport Edition combines PRO-4X-inspired looks with practical capability upgrades — including all-terrain tires and added skid plate protection — making adventure more accessible right from the showroom floor.

Rugged Styling Inspired by PRO-4X

Available on Frontier SV 4×4 and 4×2 models, the new Sport Edition package gives the midsize truck a more aggressive appearance with several blacked-out exterior accents and unique design details.

Sport Edition features include:

• Black off-road-style 17-inch wheels
• 265/70R17 Hankook Dynapro all-terrain tires
• Aluminum skid plate
• LED fog lights and front accent lighting
• Black lower front fascia, grille, and mirrors
• “Sport” bedside and tailgate badging
• Yellow accent stitching throughout the interior

The package bridges the gap between the SV and PRO-4X grades, offering customers another stylish and capable option in the Frontier lineup.

Nissan says the Sport Edition was created for drivers who want more capability for work, hobbies, camping, trailheads, and light off-road adventures.

The addition of all-terrain tires gives drivers added control and confidence on gravel roads, rough terrain, and off-pavement conditions while still maintaining everyday drivability.

Every 2027 Nissan Frontier comes equipped with Nissan’s proven 3.8-liter direct-injected V6 engine producing 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque.

When properly equipped, the Frontier offers:

• Up to 7,150 pounds of towing capacity
• Up to 1,590 pounds of payload capacity
• Available locking rear differential
• Available Bilstein suspension on PRO grades

The Frontier continues to deliver the dependable capability truck buyers expect whether on the jobsite or exploring outdoors.

Additional Updates for 2027

Nissan also announced several additional updates for the 2027 Frontier lineup, including:

• New Alpine Metallic exterior paint color
• Upgraded Qi2-compatible wireless phone charger
