2020 Nissan Titan makes a Huge Statement

The All-New 2020 Nissan Titan is making a huge statement with the redesign of its very popular full-size truck. The Titan receives a variety of aesthetic changes, both outside and inside. At the front of the truck is a reworked radiator grille, available in three configurations, depending on the version chosen.

The first change, which really stands out in the 2020 Nissan Titan is its bold new design. The new 2020 Titan’s exterior design has a unique grille design and styling. This provides a higher degree of differentiation among Titan’s trim levels.

The 2020 Titan SL grade has a distinctive bright chrome grille on its front. The Platinum Reserve is more restrained with a satin chrome finish on the grille and the TITAN PRO-4X is the most dramatic with a black grille centered around the first-ever Nissan badge scripted in lava red. The lava red color accents continue on the tow hooks of the rugged PRO-4X.

Headlights have new changes in them as well. Compared with the previous Titan design the new 2020 Titan’s headlights produce about 120% more light. These powerful lights are standard on TITAN PRO-4X, SL and Platinum Reserve grades and give the driver a much better view of the front and sides of the road. Fog lights are strengthened in the 2020 Titan as well. it’s another change from the previous generation Titan producing another extra 15 degrees of visibility on each side of the truck’s front end.

Daytime running lights are new to the 2020 Nissan Titan and they are the largest ever made by Nissan and each putting out 800 lumens. These daytime running lights are standard on PRO-4X, SL and Platinum Reserve grade levels.

The 2020 Titan’s bed also has new all-LED lighting. The four light sources provide a full surround lighting. The tailgate is finished out nicely with the addition of LED taillights.  One of the cool bed functions is that it comes with a 110V outlet in the bed. One thing that distinguishes the 2020 Titan’s bed from other trucks is that the units are accessible from inside the bed without having to remove a camper top or tonneau cover. 

The tailgate is customized according to the trim levels. Just as the grilles feature unique personalities for each trim, TITAN PRO-4X features a black finisher, while Platinum Reserve utilizes a satin chrome finisher. As a result each trim level of the 2020 Titan distinctly stands out.

When it comes to the interior of the 2020 Titan, the interior is finished out as well. The leather seats, all-new integrated command center (infotainment), Standard Apple Carplay and Standard Android Auto provide first-class accommodations in addition to other interior refinements. Inside the 2020 Titan, the focus was is on connectivity, with an 8-inch central screen as standard equipment that can be replaced by a new 9-inch screen with very high resolution. Some new details have been added too, such as smartphone holder, the Fender 12-speaker audio system and the optional panoramic sunroof with two panels.

When it comes to safety, the 2020 Nissan Titan comes standard with Nissan Safety Shield 360 technology. It includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert with automatic braking, lane departure warning, and automatic high beams.

From a mechanical point of view, the 2020 Titan truck retains the same 5.6-liter Endurance engine as offered in 2019. But the power of that V8 engine is increased. With an increase of 10 horsepower and 22 lb-ft of torque, the V8 engine now reaches 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. The 2020 Titan’s transmission has upgrades too. The 2019 model was equipped with 7-speed automatic transmission, The 2020 Titan is equipped with a new 9-speed transmission providing more torque at the wheels in a given gear and smoother and faster acceleration.
